J. Jonathan Hlavinka

Mr. Hlavinka was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on August 24, 1963. After graduation from Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas, Jon matriculated at the University of Texas at Austin (where he received a degree in Plan II in 1985), the University of Chicago Graduate School of Economics, and the University of Texas School of Law (from which he received his J.D. in 1989).
Jon has nineteen years' experience in trial and appellate work, most of which has been in the areas of personal injury, insurance coverage, products liability and commercial litigation.
His litigation and appellate experience has included matters small and large, including multi-million dollar matters related to insurance coverage, contractual and industrial disputes, deceptive trade practices, personal injury, and FSLIC and FDIC issues.
Mr. Hlavinka is a leader of young men in his role as Campmaster for 350 Scouts in the Sam Houston Area Council's Cub Scout Pack 55 and likewise in his role as a long-time Den Leader for the Bears of Den 9. When not camping with the Scouts, he attends numerous Little League baseball and football games in which his three sons are participating.
